Carrie Fisher Suffers Heart Attack On A Plane

While on a plane from London to Los Angeles, Carrie Fisher (Star Wars’ beloved Princess Leia) suffered massive heart attack. According to reports provided by the plane’s passengers, the plane’s captain asked immediately whether there is a medical doctor onboard. The flight’s crew, an emergency medical technician and a nurse rushed to help. We’ve been told that CPR was performed on Carrie Fisher while the plane was still in the air.

The airplane reached LAX about fifteen minutes after the crises begun. Still in spite the efforts of many, Fisher was unresponsive when the plane landed. An ambulance took her to the Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center from the tarmac. Carrie spent several days in intensive care reportedly fighting for life. She passed away, today on December 27the 2016.

Carrie Fisher was the daughter of Hollywood’s royalty. Her mother is Debbie Reynolds; her father was Eddie Fisher. She was an actress, producer, screenwriter, author and speaker. Those who knew her well valued her extra-ordinary, self-deprecating sense of humor. Carrie Fisher reprised her role as Princess Leia in 2015 Star Wars: The Force Awakens. She was in London on a promotional tour for her new book “The Princess Diarist” which was named Best Book of Fall 2016 by the PEOPLE Magazine. It was on her way back home from London that she suffered cardiac arrest from which she didn’t recover.

Carrie Fisher is survived by her daughter Billie Lourd, her mother and siblings. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family, friends and fans.
